Hi,

It is very important to correctly grounded all the cab to exclude parasite problem in the wheel potentiometer (this is a recurrent problem).

I never heard issue with USB and Molex wires connected in the same time.

Thanks. I will double check if everything is grounded. I will also drop a message in the FB group once I sorted this out first.

About the MOLEX: I tried connecting the FFB Pro to a seperate power supply (the PC is at the other end of the cab). It is not connected to the same PSU as the PC.

I can actually measure 5V on the MOLEX connector when I only connect the board to the PC via USB (and keep the MOLEX empty). That is why I thought it might be a problem if I connect another power source to that 'live' 5V..

Hi All,

(Sorry for English, my French is really really bad).

I have been working on setting up an Initial D5 cab with the FFB Pro board. I have an issue and a question:

- The wheel pot seems to behave very erratic in vjoy/backforcefeeder. It's not stable, and when I turn the wheel, the value goes all over the place. What could that be? The brake pedal and gas pedal are also somewhat 'nervous' but much more stable compared to the wheel. None of them are completely stable though: constant change in value, even when not touching anything. This scenario is visible even if I only have the FFB Pro connected to the PC via USB, and the controls from the cab connected to the board. The serial motor drive is not connected during the test.

- I don't yet understand how to connect power. Am I supposed to connect a power source to the MOLEX on the FFB Pro? It seems the USB connection also delivers 5V to the PCB? My PC will not turn on at all when I connect the MOLEX and USB at the same time. It is probably detecting that issue (as a short of some kind..?) Are there any diagrams showing how to connect the FFB Pro to the different power sources?

Thanks!

Hi All,

(I hope it is ok if I use English instead of French. I can read a little French, but cannot express myself in it  :-\)

My name is Arjan, I live in the Netherlands. I have been a long-time lurker on this forum, but decided to join.

I own a lot of console stuff (megadrive, pc engine, snes, PS3, etc, etc, etc), and also quite a lot of arcade stuff as well. I currently have four arcade cabs: an original Afterburner Climax, a Blast City, a New Astro City and (in bits and pieces) a Sega Touring Car cab. The Sega Touring Car will be converted to either Daytona USA or into a generic racecab.

Greetz!
